  i wish i knew how to add links in here but i don't.

  in drudge report today, there is a story about a faith healer who claims he can exorcise demons from women, but apparently he needs to have sex with them to make it work.. i think this might be a good pick up line for witness men to use.

  "sister smith, i think i can help you with those terrible feelings that something is coming between you and jehovah's blessing.

  did being in the org really screw up your idea of what dating is.. i gues you would have to had "courted" in the org to answer this question.. the orgs idea of dating is in a sense to get married.. while outside.... marriage isnt even thought of for a looooong while.. my question is because i dont know if a girl is .

  DATING is overrated. If you really want to find out how a girl feels about you, try stalking her for several weeks. If she breaks up with you, stalk her for an even longer period of time. This way, she will always know that you cared.

  Has anyone ever been in a furniture store and noticed JW books on the bookcase or headboard displays? Is this not a tribute to the spirit of pioneers?

  I mean, you have to have large ones to go into a furniture store and drop off a book!

  i had the taxi drop me off at the old columbia heights building.

  the door was locked so i knocked and was reluctantly allowed in by another bethelite.

  The NPG's were not even known about, at least by me, when I was at Bethel in the late 60's early 70's.

  I do remember something interesting about New Years Eve 12/31/69 when my Bethel roommate burst into our room with a bottle of champagne and declared "Now we're in the decade of THE END!" Gee, I guess Witnesses really did believe the bilge from the society, in spite of the GB's protestations that they never really meant anything by the 1975 date setting.

  Origin of Halloween?

  i remember hearing a "story" or "myth" or whatever you want to call it when i was younger in regards to the origin of halloween.

  the way the story goes is this:.

  a few angels fall from heaven and form human bodies for themselves.. they take human wives.. then they have their children, "the nephilim".. these nephilim are killed in the flood.. when the angels leave their human bodies they mourn their dead children.. the night that they mourn these children is later known as all hallows eve or the night the demons mourn thier dead.. has anyone else here ever heard this story?

  Halloween = an opportunity for nut cake witnesses to put Watchtowers and Awakes in trick or treat bags. I told my mom to go ahead and give the kids a roll of toilet paper and an egg too.

  I stayed almost 2 years. I got engaged while on vacation and when I returned to Bethel I said, to hell with it, and turned in my notice to Nathan. He sent back an nasty letter telling me he hoped my marriage commitment meant more than my Bethel commitment to stay for four years. I stayed married for 11 years. So in my book it's:

  Homeless "Pete"

  there is a homeless man (ill call him pete) that stands on a street corner nearby my home.

  hes been on this corner since i moved into this neighborhood almost 4 years ago.

  a staple to our community really.

  I saw a homeless dude at a busy intersection this past year carrying a cardboard sign that said, "I NEED BEER, WHY LIE?"
